One point five

"So," he says, "basically you have a year and a half left in the United States."
Suddenly, my mind starts swirling.
1.5 years.  That's less than Bible school.
That's less than I worked at Target.
That's not long enough.
What if I'm not ready in only 18 months!?!?
My littlest brother won't even have graduated high school yet.
I calm my thoughts by telling him, that no, I have longer.
I mean, you have to factor partnership development in there.
But really, my mind is not matching my words.
1.5 years is not long.
But I guess it's possible.
And it's that possibility that scares me more than anything.

Yeah... that's a little scary. But remember, no matter when you go, there will be a time when you check your calendar and find you only have a year and a half, or one year, or three months, or seven minutes... Time keeps marching on. But if you're leaving the country to do God's work in an unreached tribe in only 1.5 years, rest assured that God will have you ready by then. I'm not promising that you'll feel ready... only that you'll be ready.
